Children’s Opinion Series

SUKA Society published a series of three booklets; “Speaking your child’s love language”, “It’s OKAY to ask for help” and “When parents fight, children suffer” aimed at promoting the opinions of youths and children on issues important to them.

Children’s Opinion Workshop: Resilience

SUKA Society conducted nine workshops in 2016 with youths from refugee, Orang Asli, and urban poor communities. The youths freely shared their thoughts and opinions about their family and support system, their emotions, and their goals. The workshops were conducted to provide the youths with tools to develop resilience, and for them to learn how to resolve obstacles that they may face in pursuing their goals. This toolkit provides the modules and resources SUKA Society used to conduct the workshop.

Foster Care Manual & Handbooks

SUKA Society, in close collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Malaysia Office, has written and designed a Foster Care Manual and Handbooks for the Foster Care Agency, Foster Parents and Children in Foster Care. The following resources serve as a guide to develop and enhance safe foster care arrangements of unaccompanied and separated children within the Rohingya community. These resources may be freely downloaded, reviewed, quoted, reproduced or translated, in full or in part for non-commercial purposes only, particularly in application to ongoing work related to foster care and case management.
